Integ Enterprise Consulting, Inc. announces a new contract to build a web-based Reliability Pricing Model system for PJM
Integ Enterprise Consulting, Inc. has been awarded the contract to build a new web-based system to calculate the Avoidable Cost Rates (ACRs) used in the Reliability Pricing Model (RPM) and to capture detailed supporting data for PJM (PJM Interconnection, L.L.C.).
With the RPM initiative, PJM is enhancing the current capacity market with a new model that will include new types of reliability metrics. This initiative will result in a more robust market that will compensate the previous market's shortfall by addressing generator and load locations, generation types, generation characteristics, etc. It will further ensure resource adequacy and continue to support the constantly growing PJM market.
According to the RPM settlement agreement, ACR is a component of the Market Seller Offer Cap. Market Participants in LDAs (Locational Deliverability Areas) which fail the Preliminary Market Structure Screen must submit ACR data. The ACR system and website are expected to be fully functional during the first quarter of 2007.
